|  Welcome To Linkin Park Official Thread  - Deskripsi:
Yah barangkali rata-rata udah pada tau lah ya. Ini band lahir tahun 1996. Kala itu personilnya masih tiga, yaitu Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, dan Rob Bourdon. Setelah lulus sekolah, mereka ngerjain proyek band ini lebih serius, dengan merekrut Joe Hahn, Dave "Phoenix" Farrell, and Mark Wakefield. Nama mereka dulu juga bukan 'Linkin Park', tapi 'Xero'. Hingga pada suatu hari, Mark Wakefield keluar untuk nyari proyek baru dan digantikan oleh Chester Bennington dari band Grey Daze. Tahun 1999 Xero berganti nama jadi Hybrid Theory. Di sini mereka susah payah untuk masuk dapur rekaman. Bayangkan saja, mereka pernah gagal tiga kali untuk masuk Warner Bros Records. Demo mereka pada ditolak. Hingga pada kali keempat mereka diterima, dengan bantuan Jeff Blue, vice president WB Records pada waktu itu. Terus ganti nama deh jadi Linkin Park, hingga saat ini. :mahos

- LPU: Kependekan dari Linkin Park Undeground, yaitu sebutan untuk fans Linkin Park apabila telah mendaftar di [URL="http://lpu.linkinpark.com/"]sini[/URL]. Para LPU mendapat fitur lebih dari non-LPU, di antaranya mendapatkan kesempatan presale tiket terlebih dahulu, mendapat LPUTV, memiliki kesempatan untuk M&G (Meet & Greet), dan bergama fitur eksklusif lainnya.
- LPST: Kependekan dari Linkin Park Street Team, yaitu kumpulan para fans LP yang bisa jadi belum mendaftar menjadi LPU.
- LPSS: Kependekan dari Linkin Park Street Soldier, yaitu nama anggota dari LPST
- LPTV: Tempat yang berisi kumpulan video-video yang meliput beragam kegiatan LP. Dapat ditemukan di website dan channel Youtube-nya.
- LPUTV: Agak berbeda dari LPTV, karena hanya dikhususkan untuk LPU.
- Demo / B-Sides: Lagu-lagu LP yang tidak dimasukin ke album yang dirilis. Biasanya karena memiliki rating yang kurang (tentunya dinilai oleh mereka sendiri).
- Working Title: Sewaktu LP membuat lagu, tidak jarang mereka menamai lagu-lagu itu dengan nama yang aneh, bahkan tidak ada hubungannya sama sekali dengan lagu itu, seperti "Grecian", "Japan", "21 Stitches", dan "Rygar". Jika lagu tersebut sudah jadi, mereka akan merubah namanya. Namun ada juga yang sampe dirilis tetep pake working title, contohnya "Papercut","Faint","QWERTY", dan "Robot Boy".
